Delete Your Account

You can delete your OffRez account and the data attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it — from inside the app, or by asking us here.

Option 1: Delete it in the app

This is immediate and needs no help from us:

Open the OffRez app and sign in.
Go to Profile.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Option 2: Ask us to delete it

Use this if you have uninstalled the app or can no longer sign in. Give us the email address on the account. We will email you to confirm it is really you, then delete the account within 30 days.

What we delete, and what we keep

Deleted permanently:

Your name, email address and phone number
Your profile, including institution and profile photo
Your saved and favourited properties
Your booking history and in-app messages
Any property listings you created as a landlord
Your push notification identifier

Kept, and why:

Records of completed payments, for 7 years. Zimbabwean financial and tax rules require us to keep them, and we cannot delete them on request. They are kept as transaction records and are not used to contact you.
